Poco Poco Dance is a type of Indonesian modern dance inspired by the Poco-Poco song that reads:

Balenggang pata pata
Ngana pe goyang pica pica
Ngana pe bodi poco poco
Cuma ngana yang kita cinta
Cuma ngana yang kita sayang
Cuma ngana suka bikin pusing

This song began to be popular throughout Indonesia and sung by famous singer, Yopie Latul. with his style that has and his melodious voice makes this Poco poco song popular among various circles.


Poco-Poco Dance Movement


The basic movement of Poco-Poco Dance is so easy that it is very popular with the public. In fact, it was so fond of Poco-Poco Dance that it became a kind of rhythmic gymnastics by school students in Indonesia.
The Poco-Poco dance movement is two small steps to the right, back to the place, then backs a step or two back, then moves forward while spinning. So on, the movement is repeated. The principle is to turn the body to all corners of the wind and then return to its original place.

This dance received a good reception from all walks of life, although there was little contradiction with some of the others about the dances and the obscurity of this dance being carried out as there was a ban from the Malaysian government of Poco Poco dance to be developed there.

There are six compulsory movements, opening and closing movements, as well as two necessary interval movements. Friends all learn and master, namely:
