How To Easily Repair Corrupt CMD
What is cmd.exe?
cmd.exe is a DLL file with description of Windows Command Processor, with file size 380 KB, file location C: \ Windows \ System32 \ cmd.exe. You may have an erroneous cmd.exe or I've experienced that cmd.exe appears continuously and can not close. Until I restart the computer was still showing up again to make me annoyed.If your cmd is also problematic as I've experienced so cmd does not work as well as it did. So when you run the computer by typing something it will appear warning "command" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file ". If a warning appears like that then the cause of the command is not found in the file that is the path referrer, meaning the destination path does not find the type of command that we typed in the command prompt. Therefore should be fixed immediately so as not to interfere with your work, how to overcome it.
First locate My Computer folder first from your computer, via start menu or explorer. If you've met
Right click on My Computer
Click Properties
Then click Advanced Tab
Then click the button that wrote Environment Variables
A variable panel will appear
Look for System variables
There will be 2 pieces of columns namely Variable and Value columns
Scroll down on the table look for Path writing in the Variable column
If you have found, look next to it, its Value if there is written C: \ Windows \ System32 \; or not. If there is but the writing looks like this C: \ Windows \ System32 \ cmd.exe; you simply edit and delete cmd.exe.
If it does not exist, click on Path then click the Edit button below it will pop up the Edit System Variable
Add any posts C: \ Windows \ System32 \; on variable value do not forget (;) at the end you write C: \ Windows \ System32 \;
If there are other writings besides that, then you add it in front of existing posts for example if the value is C: \ dump \ bin \ then if it is added with C: \ Windows \ System32 \;
into C: \ Windows \ System32 \; C: \ dump \ bin \
If it is correct writing please click OK then OK again until closed all windows then refresh the desktop, then do restart the computer and then try to test again whether it can command in its cmd.
If you do it correctly then make sure your CMD is working properly in the following way;
- Press on keybord icon start + R
- Type "CMD" without quotes and enter
- Type Ipconfig (space) _all then Enter
Probably from the way above has not resolved the problem cmd.exe because in fact your cmd is missing, then the solution should be download cmd.exe again. To download cmd.exe you can search the file via google or other search.
After you download copy paste it to folder C: \ Windows \ System32
Then run again via run by pressing on keybord icon start + R
Good Lock !!!
